CCSF Day 1: part 2
Arrgg… Here there be loot for everyone! To thank everyone who sent in their creations for the CCSF, Mea made some presents to share for each day of the CCSF.
Borgetta Dolls
Me? Dressed up in my Halloween costumes, and turned into dolls for your Creatures to play with? Arrrggg, tis be a wee bit embarrassing don’t ya think?
Carpet burrotail weeds
Arrggg…. Careful of these strange little weeds. No barrel full of Shee ale is needed to get your creatures roaring drunk as long as these weeds are around. The more they play with these weeds, the drunker your creatures are going to get. CFFs and Abyss Dragons get an extra little surprise, there is more than just alcohol in these weeds.
The Carpet Burrotail Testers – Here be the pack of scurvy SERU creatures who helped test those crazy little weeds.Some of them were quite drunk when they were exported. I hope they don’t have hangovers….
There’s a little bit of everything in that mix of creatures. No telling what they will look like in your game.
CCSF day 1
Since Halloween was only a few days ago it seems only proper to share the spooky submissions today.
First up we have these wonderful pumpkin carving templates from Civvi.

Welcome to the Creature Community Spirit Festival!
For those who aren’t familiar with it, the CCSF is a yearly festival the Creatures community holds to celebrate the Creatures game series and the related fan made creations and add-ons.
No drama or unpleasantness during the festival please.
For the next several days various fan made creations will be released and shared for the community to enjoy.
We hope you have fun!
Contests Galore?
Gaaahh…. Mea can be so bad at communicating at times. She went on a trip and didn’t let anyone know which is why there haven’t been any prompts for almost a week. Now that she’s back, I’m poking her to make sure she gets some Creatures related stuff done. Since it has been a while since the last post, this one is going to be a little bigger than normal.
You know it has been a really long time since the last Survivor game. Would anyone be interested in playing or running a new Survivor game, Survivor: Ark? Have it set on the Creatures 3 Ark and have it run during the festival?
Well, since both Civvi and Wesley have offered to help with drawing prizes for the contests, it would probably be a good idea to get a list of the contests up, wouldn’t it? So… Here’s a list of possible contests besides the Wolfling run.
– A Story contest: From the shortest stories of only a few sentences, to long sagas, all stories are welcome.
– A Spooky story contest: Since the first day of the festival will hold most of the spooky Halloween themed releases, Mea felt that the spooky stories should be separated from the regular story contest so that they can be posted with the rest of the spooky stuff.
– A Poem contest: Short or long, all Creatures themed poems are welcome.
– A Meme contest: Seeing all the Creatures memes last year was rather fun. What fun memes can you make for this year?
– An Art contest: From simple concept sketches to fully finished pieces, what art do you have ready to share?
– A New Creature Breed contest: From the strangest to the cutest, what new Creature breed concepts can you design? Art or just descriptions are both perfectly fine.
– A New Critter and Plant contest: Draw or describe new plants and animals that you might like to see in the game at some point. Who knows, maybe once Mea finishes learning to code, she might start making some of them.
– A Creatures Cook-off contest: aka Creature themed recipes. What silly, fun, crazy or tasty recipes can you come up with? The recipes can be real or fantasy.
Just remember, they can only be contests if we get enough entries for them….
Adventure on the high seas!
Arrr! Today be ‘Talk like a Pirate’ day! In honor of that, today’s prompts are all themed around the sea.
What treasures might your favorite creatures find on the beach?
– Buried treasure?
– Delicious coconuts and tropical fruits?
– Sea shells full of pearls?
– Miniature creatures hiding in shells or coconut shell?
What if a swarm of crabs and crobsters surged up the beach while the creatures were having a picnic?
What amazing things might the aquatic creatures find when they explore the reefs off shore?
What terrors or treasures might be in that sunken ship?
Or… What if they explore deeper? What adventures might they find in the depths of Davey Jone’s locker?
Mad Scientist Mayhem
Eeek! You have to help me distract Mea! She just remembered some concept art she had seen of a Spider Grendel and now she is trying to figure out how to make one! What new Creature species ideas can you come up with to distract her from her crazy ideas?
Stellar Mayhem
Out of curiosity, what amazing sights do you think the Creatures on the C3 ark saw as the ship traveled through space?
Do you think they passed any comets?
What about asteroids?
What if there was something on one of those asteroids, what might it have been?
Do you think they passed any other space ships?
What might have been on those space ships?
What planets might they have passed?
What strange lifeforms might they have met if they had stopped to visit those planets?

Eeep! I think I might have annoyed Mea when I spilled that she was learning to code. She’s been trying to muffle me all day. I look like a mummy!
But that does give me an idea for today’s prompts. Crossovers!
As a borg norn I’m already a crossover with the Borg of Star Trek, so… what other universes would it be interesting or amusing to see Creatures running around in?
Could you just imagine an ettin running around the set of one of the Mummy movies, or Batman’s cave?
What if the portals of Docking Station’s Warp were connected to stargates of Stargate Atlantis?
What about Toxic Norns on Wall-E’s earth?
Which creatures would play the best with the Minions of the Despicable Me series?
What about the Yettins playing with the trolls and mini snowmen from Frozen?
What about creature species inspired by stories or movies?
What silly or crazy stories and art can you come up with for crossovers like that?
What about taking screenshots of your creatures and photoshoping the creatures into scenes from movies?
Also, Good News! We have our second submission!
More events?
Oh wow! Layla got so many entries for her wolfling run, she had to close it already, and we have our first submission! I’d better update the Events list.
Speaking of events, what other types of events would you like to see during the CCSF?
- A small coloring event using the coloring pages from previous CCSF?
- A poetry event with the submitted poems being added to the walls of a new metaroom?
- A recipe collection event where everyone shares or tries to come up with Creatures themed recipes? Either real ones like ‘Justanut and Bramboo berry jelly sandwiches(also known as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches) or imaginary ones like the infamous ‘breaded hatchling norn’.
If we get the recipes early enough, maybe Mea will try to put some of them in the game! I saw her practicing her caos coding. Shhh… don’t tell her I saw that!
