CCSF day 6: part 1

Well, first up today, we have yesterday’s video to share…

– CCSF Wolfling run, day 5 – oh wow, looks like Kiki wanted to make the video rather dramatic….

And it looks like Ask Flynn has a new sketch up too!   If you have any questions for Flynn don’t forget to ask them before you forget them.

CCSF day 5 : part 2

Today we have 6 presents from Mea.

First up we have a water potion vendor to satisfy your thirsty creatures
– The water barrel

And to go with it, we have a burrotail that gives the same water potion right before it wilts.  This friendly burrotail also gives water when played with, and it releases lots of water vapor too, which is how it got it’s name…
– The Blue Mist Burrotail

Both of the above agents are quite useful to have if you decide to grow this next agent…

– The Flameleaf Burrotail –  The Flameleaf burrotail has the potential to be rather dangerous to your creatures, for this weed gives off heat. One or two will warm a room, but when they grow in clusters, they can make the area hotter than a desert. I would suggest growing the Blue Mist burrotail, the Frosted plums or the Icy plums alongside the Flameleaf burrotail so that your creatures have ways to cool down and stay hydrated.

These next two burrotails can be, like the Flameleaf burrotail, a bit more dangerous to your creatures than the Carpet burrotail is.

– The Dusky Metal Burrotail –  This burrotail when played with will get your creatures drunk, just like the Carpet burrotail does, but it also gives your creatures a dose of heavy metal.  Luckily the cure for heavy metal can be found in it’s seeds, but the dose of cure is rather small.

– The Dark Cinder Burrotail – This burrotail can definitely be dangerous to your creatures.  Playing with this weed will give your creatures a dose of fever toxin and glycotoxin.  Even the seeds are poisonous enough to count as detritus instead of seeds.  If you have creatures that are hurt by the light, you may want to keep them away from this plant as well since it gives off small amounts of light.

Today’s final present is dragon toy!  Awww…  look how shy this dragon looks….  Shy or hiding something…..
– The Shy Dragon toy

CCSF Day 4: Part 2

While we wait for today’s video, here’s the next batch of presents from Mea!

First up, one more patch plant from her exotic plums set.  The Icy plum.   Similar to the Frosted plum, but stronger, this plum actually increases coldness instead of just removing hotness.  Your heat loving creatures might find this plum too cold for them.
– The Icy plums

Second present is another barrel full of hatchling dragon toys for your creatures to enjoy.  Small enough to be carried, they look like they might be just the right size for younger creatures to enjoy.
– The Hatchling Barrel

Last present for today…  is a special treat for your meat eating creatures!   An instinct friendly tub of critter meat for your carnivorous creatures to enjoy. These tasty critters won’t run away from your creatures still learning to hunt since they are already prepared into long lasting sausages and stakes.  Hopefully they are seasoned to your creatures liking!
– The Tub o Meat
Small update to keep the vendor and meat from falling through the floors in certain areas.
– Tub o Meat 1-1

CCSF Day 4: TWB and TCB update

Today’s update is an update to the well know breed bases, the True Warm Bloods and True Cold Bloods by Dragoler.

Here’s the description in Dragoler’s own words:
For this CCSF i’m submitting the third major update for the TWB/TCB genomes, this time the focus is on the brain with a number of new tracts added as well as a new lobe. I’ll give a breakdown of what the new tracts do below:

Stim -> comb hit inhibitor – Aka the “peace tract” it makes Norns more reluctant to hit each other. This tract varies the most between breeds, often taking effect later and functioning slightly differently for aggressive breeds, while being more all-encompassing for peaceful breeds.

Comb -> comb 1 and Comb -> comb 2 – These “duotracts” were pioneered by Lurhstaap and Geat_Masta, the original intention behind them was to give Creatures a basic understanding of cause and effect (e.g. I push dispenser and food comes out). They ended up not working like this, but the results have been positive for learning, focus and behavior in general so they have been kept in, though I have no doubt they can be improved further!

Driv -> Mood (crowded) – Puts Creatures in a bad mood when they feel overcrowded.

Detl -> comb push inhibitor – Strongly discourages parent <-> child inbreeding but requires the Activate 1 & 2 Separation script to be effective.

Sensorimotor lobe – A brain lobe which pairs with the Sensorimotor Lobe Input script created by Vermidia to allow Creatures to sense many more things about their world.

Sens -> comb drowning override – Forces Creatures to “go home” when they start to drown, which most of the time will drive them out of the water. Only functions when in water.

Comb -> comb seek water – Creatures don’t have a thirst drive, which is problematic, because water is necessary for both keeping cool and breathing; water is also used up quickly when a Creature catches their breath after spending time underwater. This tract compensates for this by adding an intense drive to seek out and consume anything edible before water levels drop dangerously low.

Detl -> comb get inhibitor and Detl -> comb drop inhibitor – Common sense tracts that keep Creatures from trying to “get” objects they are already holding and “drop” objects they are not.

Detl -> comb anti-snatch – Makes Norns more reluctant to steal things from the hands of other Creatures, including your own hand – no more fights over that last apple! Unless you’re playing with one of those rude breeds anyway.

Other changes include ATP and oxygenated blood initial concentrations set to not mutate, which should cut down on stillbirths considerably. Norns have an easier time falling asleep when they try, but they also won’t pass out if they chose not to rest, and shivering is no longer a sign of impending death but should still be taken seriously. There’s more but I won’t bore anyone with additional details here, all previous V2.5 genomes are included in the pack as well as the Sensorimotor Lobe Input script. I hope you have fun with them!

CCSF Day 3: Part 2

Today’s video for the wolfling run may be a little late today, so to make up for it Mea is planning to release a few more presents than she would have.

First up, is a trio of patch plants from Mea’s Exotic Plums set.

– The Spicy Plums – That first taste of the spicy plum has quite the nice and hot bite, but boy does it turn chilly quite quickly.
– The Pearl Plums –  This sweet plum is not your normal plum.  It ferments right on the plant, so there is quite a bit of alcohol in this manky fruit.   Shines like a pearl and is full of alcohol, would this be a fine treasure for pirate creatures?
– The Toxic Plums –  This plum is more suited for your Toxic creatures than your normal creatures.  This plum is rotten before it even falls off the plant.  Since it is detritus it is full of nasty things to keep your toxic creatures healthy and happy.  The first bit is a bit less dangerous than the second bite is, so you might have a moment to pull it away from your normal creatures if you catch them eating it.

Up next is the next toy in the dragon toy series…

– The Serpent dragon toy vendor –  Large long and thin, this dragon could be a winged snake just as easily as a dragon.

Since the possibly dangerous toxic plums were released today, it’s only fair to release something to help heal and cure any creatures that get sick from eating them.  So the next present is actual two.

– The Moonstone Potions – The moonstone potions come with a vendor and the potions themselves are like a super charged version of the C3 ‘general cure’ potion with cures for almost everything and additional healthy stuff as well.
Edit:  Oops, got a small update to the Moonstone Potions 1-2
and…

– The Moonstone Burrotails 1-1 – The moonstone burrotails are a friendly plant that gives seeds and when it is about to die, the plant gives a moonstone potion for your creatures to eat.
Edit:  Oops, had a small issue with the catalogue file.  It should be fixed now.

CCSF Day 2: part 2

Here it is, the video we’ve all been waiting for….  The next episode of the Wolfling Run!!!

Today’s Wolfling run!

Remember to check out Ask Flynn sometime today to see today’s artwork!

And lastly…  today’s collection of presents from Mea.

Since it was showcased in the wolfling run, first up for Mea’s presents is….
the GEW version of the Carpet Burrotail.   The version of the Carpet Burrotail released yesterday was limited to growing on the three types of soil.  The GEW version, is not so limited.  It will grow everywhere.  So be careful that it doesn’t spread so much that it lags your world.
– The GEW Carpet Burrotails  –

Second present from Mea today is a patch plant from her Exotic Plums patch plant set; the Frosted plum.  This lightly frosted plum will help reduce the hotness of any creature that eats it.  It was designed to help cool down feverish or overheated creatures and help cold-loving creatures deal with areas too hot for them to be comfortable.
– The Frosted Exotic Plums

Mea’s third present of the day is another very random pack of creatures.  This batch is one of several that helped test out many of the exotic plums patch plants.  During the tests they lived in Chione, with the next generations being chosen by the Hera agent.  So all of them should be fairly good at taking care of themselves and should be somewhat adapted to colder areas.
– The Chione plum tester adoption pack

The next present is another little weed in the Burrotail family, the Push-me-not Burrotail.  This bad plant won’t get your creatures drunk, but they might find themselves feeling rather angry and crowded instead.
– The Push-me-not Burrotails

The final present from Mea for today is a toy.  First one of Mea’s dragon themed toy set.  Now, if a few of these dragon sprites look a bit familiar, that’s because Mea made them for a different website, but they were never used.  So rather than having them waste away on her hard drive, Mea wanted to make them into toys for your creatures to play with.  So, here’s the first small set of them…
– The Gemstone hatchling toys
